About the Role:
We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our IT Department (part of the Operations & Information Systems Security Division).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support for our enterprise network infrastructure. They will deploy, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of our systems.
During your day, you will:
- Provide L2/L3 support for enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and optimal performance
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to LAN, Wireless, Fortinet firewalls, and VPN services
- Implement and enforce network segmentation, access control policies, and secure communication protocols
- Maintain and optimize Fortinet firewall rules, security policies, and VPN configurations in accordance with security standards and best practices
- Perform network traffic analysis and packet inspection to identify and resolve security or connectivity issues
- Execute scheduled software upgrades on network and security infrastructure while ensuring minimal service disruption
- Ensure incidents and service requests are handled within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Provide support as part of on-call rotation to ensure timely incident response and service restoration
To be a fit, you will need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering)
- 3-5 years in network/network security support roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, network security principles, and core network protocols
- Experience with VPN technologies (IPsec / SSL VPN), firewall policy management, and SD-WAN
- Familiarity with network monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools
- Fortinet NSE4/NSE5 certification (or equivalent knowledge) is considered a strong plus
- Experience with other vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto) is considered a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills
