About the role:
We’re looking for a Mid-Senior Control Systems & Networks Engineer to join our SCADA Systems & Telecoms Department. The ideal candidate will be involved in the design, implementation & maintenance of SCADA Systems & Communication Networks.
During your day, you will:
- Contribute to designing, implementing and commissioning of SCADA Systems for HV/MV substations and Energy Management Systems for RES & BESS
- Contribute to developing, implementing and commissioning of control applications for RES & BESS, ensuring compliance with grid requirements and optimized energy dispatch
- Be involved in developing, implementing and commissioning of Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS) utilizing Phasor Measurements Units (PMUs) to provide real-time & time-synchronized monitoring of the power grid
- Provide technical support and maintenance services for all delivered systems, ensuring long-term performance, availability and reliability
To be a fit, you will need:
- A degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of similar to the role experience
What you need to stand out:
- Experience with IEC 61131-PLC Programming (Codesys etc.)
- Experience in algorithm development & optimization
- Experience with converter-interfaced generation (PV, wind, battery, HVDC, FACTS) and their control systems
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, OPC UA etc.)
- Knowledge of Telecom & Networking principles
- Experience in installation and configuration of Networking devices (L2/L3 Switches, Firewalls, etc.)
- Communication & collaboration skills
- Positive & can-do mentality
- Ability to travel
Nice to Have (not required):
- Familiarization with Substation HV/MV Equipment
- Secondary Equipment Testing (IEDs, PLCs, etc.)
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Software Knowledge (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, MS Visio)
